Indian banks start replacing normal debit cards with chip cards
Back in October, State Bank of India (SBI) had affirmed that it had blocked and reviewed 6 lakh check cards after a security break had come to take note. Reports said that upwards of 32 lakh cards were influenced and in this way, obstructed crosswise over India. Taking after the reports, all bank clients began getting messages and sends instructing them to change their PINs or have their cards supplanted if blocked. A few stilled, most didn't take after the guidelines. Presently a few banks have begun sending new EMV cards to supplant the old cards with attractive stripes. The messages sent by banks show up to some degree like this: "As a security measure, we are lessening the day by day universal buy restrict on your XYZ Bank Debit Card XXXXX to Rs 20,000. For unlimited use of you Debit Card abroad, another Chip Debit Card will be issued and sent to you quickly."
